Unable to see Home mortgage interest reported on Form 1098 in itemized deduction

As question states. I own home as primary residence. My 2023 taxes have to 8a populated with amount that I paid for Home mortgage interest. This home is my first home and primary residence in US. I am single trying to file itemized.

I am using latest version of Turbotax Home and business to do itemized deduction which should come more than 15k if it accounts for my mortgage interest payments for 2024. But it does not. I have filled all the values from my 1098 issued by my mortgage provider. But still it does not show up in the final forms generated by the software. Is there something wrong with software?

You probably answered a question incorrectly. When TurboTax asked whether the loan is secured by a property of yours, did you answer Yes? If the loan is not secured by a home that you own, the interest is not deductible. A mortgage loan is normally secured by the home that the loan was used to purchase. Answering this question incorrectly is a common reason that the mortgage interest is not included in Schedule A.

Thanks for your response. I realized my mistake.

I figured out that I answered one question wrong.

Have you used the money from this loan exclusively on this home? I answered No. Should have answered Yes.
