Question

We have spent $38,707 on replacement windows and siding on our rental. Where do we show this on options provided for depreciation? Thank you

You could enter these as their own asset titled improvements and depreciate them over the 27.5 years for a rental property.  If the changes were actually repairs and did not extend the useful life of the original building asset, they would be deductible as expenses.
