We live in a previously rental condo. How can we eliminate Schedule E from this year's tax filing?

If you didn't earn any income in 2017 from the rental, you can delete the transferred Schedule E a couple of ways.

1. In the search feature within your return, search for "rental property" and select the "Jump to..." link.

2. Say Yes to the question "Do you want to review your rental and royalty information"

3. Select Continue and that should take you to your Rental and Royalty Summary, which will show your property and give you the option to Delete it. This will remove the Schedule E and all associated forms.

If you don't see a rental property listed there, you can delete the Schedule E by following the instructions below:
