Question

When I entered a 1099B form TT created both a long and short term form 8949 for it. I have deleted the 1099B but can't delete the form 8949 short term it created.

TT incorrectly made both long and short term form 8949 for a 1099B that I entered. This caused a $205 loss in both categories. I deleted the 1099B so that I could put it in again but the short term 8949 is still there. I need to delete this form. I also need TT to properly only make a long term 8949 for it when I re-input that 1099B. Otherwise I am getting the same loss for both categories.

I am using the CD version not online. The standard method of going to forms and opening it then clicking delete does not work. The form disappears for a few seconds and then is right back. There seems to be something wrong in the software.
