When the date that an investment was acquired on my 1099-B tax form is noted as "VARIOUS" and note an actual date what should I do?

    If the form 1099-B indicates that the holding period was short term (one year or less) or long term (more that one year), you can enter any date that will give the proper result. Otherwise, you will have to research to find out when you acquired the investment to determine the correct holding period.
