Question

Where to enter 1099-K personal items sold? Help text says it is entered under Investments & Savings, however there is no 1099-K section there.

I selected personal items that were sold, all items sold at a loss but I can't enter the items anywhere. Turbo Tax keeps telling me "Needs Review", I review it and try all over again. Any help would be appreciated.

To enter a 1099-K in TurboTax you can use the Tax Topic search

 

 Select Tax Tools

  • This is on the left sidebar
  • You may have to minimize the Federal and State options
  • You also may have to scroll down on that menu
  1. Once you can work on Tax Tools
  2. On the drop-down select Tools
  3. There will be 3 or 4 green boxes
  4. Select Topics Search
  5. Type 1099-K
  6. Did you get a 1099-K? [Yes]
  7. Continue through the questions.
