can i deduct the hoa fees and home insurance on my rental property

TurboTax Online

Certainly,

after the information about the rental is setup, click Update for that rental.

Select YES to Income from Rentals or Royalty property You Own

Continue to the Rental and Royalty Summary Screen

Select EDIT next to the property

Select START or UPDATE for EXPENSES

Enter the HOA fees and Insurance expense
