Whole house air conditioner
I use part of my home for home office. 8% of cost of A/C is deductible. Where do I enter cost of new A/C?

This would be entered as an asset just like the house, except this is a capital improvement to be depreciated separately from the house assuming it was just placed in service in 2023, for your home office deduction.
