why is my depreciation from 2021 taxes not updating my 2022 taxes for my rental?

    It's not clear.  Occasionally assets may not transfer with an import from the prior year, You can add them by printing off your depreciation worksheet(s) for last year which has all the detail for each asset.

     

    You can choose to clear and start over, but if you do that please be sure to perform the following action first. Clear your cache and cookies. It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis. 

    • Close your TurboTax return first.

    Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give you options.

    I am not starting over and clearing my cache.  I have already help my son submit his taxes using this tool and have entered everything except depreciation.  This is a joke.

    I will try to figure out how I can enter same info this year (as I did last year).  

    This is a horrible solution & not the least happy about.

    Also, there is no guarantee if you choose to start over, the same thing won't happen again - depreciation won't carry over from last year.
