Why is my state taxes being rejected? It says the rental info is incomplete. I didn't rent. I owe my home

Without knowing what state you are filing for I can't be too specific. I suggest you compare your return this year with the one for last year and see if there is anything different that might give you a clue as to what is wrong.

Sometimes rental income is reported on a K-1 form that you may have received from ownership in a partnership or S corporation and that can result in a rental schedule being included with your tax return.
