Do we get a credit for the covid-19 stimulus on a child born in june 2020

Yes.  You will need to add the child as a dependent in the My Info section of the program.  Make sure that you select that the child lived with you for the whole year.  And answer NO to the question did the child provide over one-half of their own support.

The Economic Impact Payment will be entered on the 2020 federal tax return, Form 1040 on Line 30.

 

The second EIP calculations are still being worked on by the IRS so the Form 1040 is not available for filing.  It would be best to wait at least until February before filing the federal tax return.
