Hello, TurboTax

I keep getting the error message of  (form TC-40W(1): payer ID must be 14 characters long without hyphens, you must go back to federal W2 or 1099 to update the employer/payer state withholding ID.)

I have tried deleting and I did go back to my W2 and my 1099 and I still can't get past this, is there a glitch in the TT online system?

Thank you,

Teresa M.

No, it is not a glitch in the system. The Utah TC W40(1) payer ID must be 14 characters. The first eleven characters are numeric and the last three are “wth.” Please do not include hyphens.

    Example: 12345678901wth.

Utah will NOT accept any other version for the Payer ID.

For additional information, please see TC-40W, Part 1.
