Quit on a holiday

Hi 

I live in Texas, and I quit on Jan 2. Should I get paid for Jan 1st that was a holiday? My excompany has a paid holiday policy.

    That is a legal question---not a tax question.  We cannot say if you are entitled to holiday pay for New Year's Day if you quit on Jan. 2.
