Hello,

When I log in to get my payment, it says they need to confirm my banking information. It asks me to enter my AGI which is -10, but it won't accept a negative or 0 when I enter the information. I am now locked out of the system for 24 hours. what should I do?

Update: I have solved the problem.

When I entered my AGI, I removed the minus sign. so, the AGI was 10.

The next part was whether or not I received a refund or owed money. The key here is to enter the actual money owed or reserved as listed on your 1040. Since I was claiming 2018, I had to check line 20a. I am not sure of the line you have to check if you owed money, but there is a question mark just about the space with the info. In my case, line 20a was 0.

To summarise:

-AGI 10 (remove minus)

-Refund amount (line 20a) 0

-Entered in banking information

The transaction was successful!

I hope this helps. It worked for me, so I would suggest clicking on the question marks as they will guide you.

Hope this helps.

I don't think you entered your correct AGI which is your Adjusted Gross Income

(amount you earned) now at this point practice patience until that 24 hour lockout period and just try again

-10 is the correct AGI. When I log into My Turbo Tax account, it says "AGI -10" I received a state refund that year. In any case, if your AGI is negative, do you enter in -10 or 0?

Thank you,

I am in the same situation with the AGI -7112 and no refund or taxes owed. What is needed to get this thru. I have downloaded my transcript from the IRS and those are the numbers that they have on file. HELP, this stimulus money is needed!!!

The AGI is on line 8b of your 2019 form 1040 or line 7 of your 2018 form 1040.

Hello,

My AGI on line 7 for 2018 is -10. I am self-employed. I had a net loss of -10. That is the correct AGI. Do I put 0 or -10 in the get my payment when they ask to confirm my AGI?

Thank you,

Like many others - need help on how to put a negative AGI on IRS stimulus for Covid 19. This is on my form1040 from 2018 taxes line 7 it is a negative number.

The IRS stimulus Check my Status will not allow a negative number -6937 or $0 or (6937) or an X6937.

Anyone find out how to fill out with a negative number? 4/24/2020

Corrheag - Thanks! I went in this morning and did not put a minus sign.

Next was - did I receive a refund or owe?

I did click had a refund. The trick is - I did not get refund back. I am rolling it over to pay 2019 taxes.

So instead of putting 2000 - which was on line 20a, I put 0 since I really did not receive a refund.

That worked!

Getting check electronically!

So happy you figured it also! Thanks for the message. Hopefully this will help other people as well!

Hi I haven't got anything.. No stimulant check no paper in the mail. I made less then 10 thousand both years I work part time barely making 280.00 every 2 weeks. I use turbo tax both years. Everytime I use that check my payment it tells me they have no information on me. So what should I do.

April 27, 2020

You would have to put 1.00 in were it says agi not -0 then it should work
