Stimulus SNAFU
So... this is my take on this whole WTF is My Stimulus Payment debacle. <I didn't take the time to read down thru the feed, so this is more than likely old news by now, but ... maybe someone will see it and it will help them.>
I knew in my ♡ that this wasn't going to play out well for those of us who chose the rapid refund this year. Me, personally, I've had an EXTREMELY jacked up year and I've grown jaded insofar as gov't funds are concerned. So, as soon as I started pondering on what was about to transpire and couldn't get any sort of str8, competent answer from anyone who might know, my heart dropped. I was on that stimulus tracker page yesterday AS SOON AS it went live. And, as I'm sure most everyone has posted by now, it said they (the IRS) didn't have "enough info to process" my direct deposit. F#@%.
This is what I think <based on the fact that I have a daughter who is disabled and her payments are direct deposited into my account, which is the same account I've used to have the past EIGHT YEARS' worth of tax returns direct deposited into...> <So, I'm fairly certain they have my info.> BUT, bc this year's account info didn't jive with previous year's they chose to leave it hanging and wait for me to go into the system and verify.
Yep. It pretty much bites butt. I know. I'll add it to my list. I just hope everyone figures out that they need to go to that STIMULUS TRACKER page and put in their info!!! Like yesterday!!!!!!!!!
Now... the 20 million dollar question: how long is it going to take to see that info processed and utilized??? I'm not going to hold my breath - that's all I'll say on the subject.
