Question

1. 1099R is an annueity and on form it shows as Roth. I didn’t know if the amount is RMD or not. Would that make the difference?

2. I have lived in Texas all my life . It saying on the sales tax it’s more than 365 days . Do I only need to show 2019 dates?

Although the rules for calculating RMDs is different for Roth and traditional retirement accounts, generally, you can presume that a pension plan (annuities are taxed the same as pensions) meets the requirement for an RMD whether the retirement plan is traditional or Roth. So answer "yes" that this is an RMD, and if it is your only retirement plan, then it is "all" of the RMD (for your retirement plans - IRAs are different).

 

As for Texas, enter 01/01/2019 and 12/31/2019, even if you have lived there purt' near your whole life. TurboTax wants to know how many days in 2019 did you live in the Great State of Texas (howdy, neighbor!).
