$10 jury duty decreases federal refund by $6. How can that be, in a 12% tax bracket? Entering $9 or less, gets my $6 back.

    Did you get Earned Income Credit?  If so, the extra $10 could up your EITC by $6 as the increases for EITC are in increments of $6.

    It must be something like that. Although, Line 15 is $xx,355 vs $xx,365, which should keep it in the same bracket, according to the table, and assuming TT is using the correct table. So, I suspect there is a little something else that is at play. I'll take my resulting paltry $4 jury pay, minus the stamp to mail the voucher, and be good with it. 😉

    I once added $6 in interest and the tax went up $12! It pushed me into the next line on the tax table. I was right at the line.
