1099-b (non-covered transaction not reported to IRS), need to enter original cost of securities --- HOW THE HECK DOES ONE DO THIS???
when I check adjust total cost and enter a negative number in the total adjustments to gain or loss (and check boxes B & E) - it shows up as adjustment NOT change in Cost Basis???? Is a 8949 generated --- how would I know if it is accurate?
and how would the system know what is cost basis correction and what are sales costs??
