I just did a part time job and received a 1099 NEC, Turbo Tax wants me to enter a company name but I am just an independent contractor. How do I enter this income?

Tell TurboTax that you use your name and home address for your business.   The 1099-nec is self-employment income to you, so you are a self-employed business owner.   You are an independent contractor and the owner of your business.   Where do I enter Schedule C?

How do I enter my 1099-nec for self-employment income?

No this did not solved the problem. Since this is the first time I had a 1099-NEC I
went back and answered the question differently in that module (with several choices) and
then had no more issues with this. I did not understand the various choices I could use,
but I have it correct now.

Where did you enter it?  What question did you change?    You are an independent contractor and need to fill out Schedule C and pay self employment tax on it.

And actually you can just enter it as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income. You don't need to get a 1099MISC, 1099NEC or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C. You should be entering the income from your own records.

Yes you are the owner of your own self employment business. You are in business for yourself.  Use your own info. The people or company that pays you is your customer or client. You need to fill out schedule C for self employment business income. You are considered to have your own business for it. YOU are the business.
