I filled out the 1099 NEC forms for Payees. I clicked to E_File and it says E-File Processing. Do I need to do anything else? Can I E-File the form 1096 (1099 NEC)? What else do I need to do?

No, you don't need to do anything else. The forms will show "E-file" in Processing until the IRS accepts them, but you'll still be credited for filing on time.

You don't need to complete Form 1096 when you e-file. It's only needed for paper filings.
