I am a senior who received a 1090a form regarding abandoned property. Do I have to put on taxes and if so will I have to pay any money?

    Can you provide more details about your abandoned property?

     

    • Type of property
    • Why was it abandoned, is this due to bankruptcy?
    • What is recorded in Box 2 on the 1099
    • What is recorded on Box 4
    • Is the box checked indicating you are personally liable for the repayment of the debt
