2022 NJ 1099-R Boxes not Consistent with Program

Boxes 12 & 13 in the 2022 NJ-1099-R form are not consistent with program input.  This problem has apparently been recurring in some states over last few years as evident in the discussions.

State Tax WH is in Box 12 on 2022 NJ form (Program has it going into Box 14)

State Payers # is in Box 13 on 2022 NJ form (Program has it going into Box 15)

My only option is to enter the data into Boxes 14 & 15, but is this going to cause an issue when the return to NJ is electronically filed and NJ's system, I assume, will be looking for the Tax WH amount coming in their Box 12?

Thanks...

look at your Form NJ-1040 to verify correct amount of tax withheld.

    That's all that matters.

NJ doesn't use the 1099-R you enter to find your withholding,

have the same issue for 2023 software. I believe I am doing what you are doing. I am doing my return now as I did an extension. Did you have any issues or get any answers or feedback from turbo tax, intuit, or IRS/NJ?

Thanks as I am surprised I only found you with this issue and nothing online.

Going to try and file with it this way. Not sure if I can even file electronically due to extension but if I cannot efile due to extension I will mail it in this way and hope it is a software error

    I misspoke obtusely above

The NJ withholding shown on your 1099-R is the amount to be included on NJ Line 55.

1099-R Box 12 is not a dollar amount.
