Question

A 457 rollover to an IRA. The1099-R with Box 1 filled. Box 2b -Total Dist. The Distribution code is G. No other boxes had any info. Do I put this on my tax return?

The 1099-R indicated no taxable amount. It was a 457 retirement account that was rolled over to an IRA. I am only 69 yrs old.

    Yes, you need to report it on your return, but it will not be taxable.

     

    Enter the Form 1099-R that you received and answer the follow-up questions that come up and TurboTax will include it on Form 1040 line 5a.
