A maximum of 30 1099-R were permitted to be entered in the desktop version of 2015 TurboTax. The 2016 TurboTax only accepts 20, we have 27. What's the solution?

A maximum of 30 1099-R entries were permitted to be entered in the desktop version of 2015 TurboTax Delux. The 2016 TurboTax Delux only accepts 20, we have 27 seperate entries. Is there a way to add additional 1099-R entries in the 2016 TurboTax or is there another tax product that we could use. For the 2015 tax year we were not able to electronicaly send in our return so we printed the return and mailed it to the IRS. If that is the  only way we can solve the problem for 2016 it would help.

If there are multiple 1099-R from same payor as is our case, is it possible to combine each forms section for #1 gross distribution and #2a taxable amounts into one entry each along with #4 combined federal tax withheld for all seven entries or do they need to be somehow entered separately? There is no state tax entries and all other checked boxes would be the same. All other boxes would be the same. Thanks for your assistance.

We don't know why the change and many have complained.

As long as all the information in the 1099-R's are the same other than the dollar amounts, then it is permissible to enter the box total onto one 1099-R entry.   If the payers EIN,  box 7 code, or the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is different then yiu need a separate 1099-0R entry.
