Question

Am I supposed to list the amount I contributed biweekly to my FSA anywhere on my tax return? But box 12 of my W2 only shows my group term life and 401k contributions.

No, you don’t need to enter any FSA contribution amounts in the TurboTax program.

Health care FSA contribution amounts are salary reductions, and have already been deducted from your taxable wages in Box 1 of the Form W-2 you’ve been issued.  The contribution amounts may appear in Box 14 of your W-2, but that would only be for information purposes.  Once you’ve entered your W-2 information, you don’t need to account for the contributions anywhere else in TurboTax.

Dependent care FSA amounts are reflected in Box 10 of your Form W-2.  The Box 10 amount is auto-populated by the TurboTax program into line 12 of Form 2441, Child and Dependent Care Expenses.
