Are monthly, lifetime pension payments RMDs? If so what kind?

I belong to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.

Yes.  Since you are receiving monthly payments through the pension, you are meeting the RMD requirements.  When TurboTax asks you if your pension payments were RMDs, you can say yes - all of it was.   Or is your question regarding something else in the 1099-R entry screens?
