Box 12b on w 2 has code CC in the drop down has every other letter except CC what do I do

There is not a code CC in the drop down box but box 12b has a code CC what should I do

If there is no amount then ignore it. You have to ask your employer and get a corrected W2. Maybe they mistyped Code DD? There was another post for the same thing. Maybe you work for the same employer.

My old notes say....

The CC code in box 12 is for your employer to track employees hired under the HIRE Act. The amount in box 12 is there for tracking purpose. The employer gets a tax break for every employee he/she hires under the act.

Now what does that mean to you and affects your return? Not at all (other than having to enter it).
