1. Here's where to enter your 1099-R in TurboTax:

1. Open or continue your return.
2. In the Federal section, select Wages & Income.
3. Scroll to locate Retirement Plans and Social Security.
4. Select Start or Revisit next to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R).

2. To edit, select Revisit

3. The red exclamation will go away when all the required information is entered.

4. You might need to delete the form and re-enter it. You could have data stuck. A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files). If you continue to have trouble follow these steps:

1. Delete the form/ worksheet- if possible, see How to Delete  
2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
   • Don't use Internet Explorer.
   • Clear cache and cookies,
   • Sign in using a different browser.
   • Sign in using a different device.
3. Log back into your return.
   • Enter the information again.
