Can I avoid a Schedule C. I am retired. My only income was from Social Security, and a small customer remediation from my bank. How do I keep from doing a schedule C?

I'm assuming you received a 1099-MISC form. If so, report the box 3 Other income in the Other Common Income section of TurboTax.

Enter a description of the income, then continue to answer 'No' regarding the question about the income involving work like your main job. Answer 'No' when you come to the question about an intent to earn money. The income will then be recorded on schedule 1 and no Schedule C will be completed.
