Can I claim no Required Minimum Distributions from qualified retirement plans (pensions & lifetime annuities), since they have no known balance at the end of 2017?

These are retirement funds that we living on in our retirement.  Since the plans have no known balance at the end of 2017, because they are funds from pensions and lifetime annuities, it doesn't seem possible to calculate RMDs for them.

If it is a plan that does not have a requirement for an RMD, yes you can say No, this was not an RMD.  Just make sure you answer the other questions saying that you get it monthly.
