We have always had our taxes done by a paid preparer. I would like to use Turbo Tax but my husband is scared to since he worked almost 6 months then he retired.

Yes you can use the TurboTax online editions for all the types of income you and your spouse received in 2023.

Go to this TurboTax and start with the Free online tax return - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/free-edition.jsp

It doesn't matter what kind of income you have.  You can use the Online version or buy the Desktop CD/Download program.  The Desktop program has more features and advantages over the Online version.

The TurboTax software handles many situations, so you can have great  confidence that you can file your taxes yourself.  The program will show you step-by-step how to proceed.

You can also opt for Live Assisted, a team of tax experts is available to provide you with unlimited answers and advice as you do your taxes, and can review your return before you file.  With Live Full Service, you're matched to a dedicated tax expert who will do your taxes, start to finish, and review them with you before filing.
