I didn't maxed out my 401k plan in 2018. Can I make an additional contribution that will be counted towards the total 2018 retirement plan contribution for the income tax purposes? Thanks!
Unfortunately, no. The contribution would have had to have been made through work in 2018. It is not like an IRA that gives you until April 15 to contribute.
