It depends.

If you filed your return for 2018 last year, you will need to prepare an amended return to include the 2018 1099-R form.

If you have not filed your 2018 tax return, then you will need to prepare your return for 2018 to include the 1099-R form.

The 2018 1099-R Form cannot be reported on the 2019 Tax return.
