Question

Can you please let me correct the amounts you have listed for Interest, 1099R, and Social Security? Where did they get those amounts?

Looks like the information might have been carried over from 2019 program.  If you have not filed, you can follow these steps to edit the information:

In TurboTax online,

  • Sign back into your account, select Pick up where you left off
  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in 1099int and Enter
  • Select Jump to form 1099int
  • Follow prompts

Your interest amount will be reportable on line 2a or 2b depending on it's taxability on your Form 1040.

To access to 1099-R section, here are the steps:

  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in 1099r and Enter
  • Select Jump to form 1099r
  • Follow prompts

A Form 1099-R is issued to the taxpayer if he or she has taken out distribution from their annuities, profit-sharing plans, retirement plans, IRAs, insurance contracts or pensions.

To access to social security, follow here:

  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in ssa1099 and Enter
  • Select Jump to ssa1099
  • Follow prompts

You would receive this form if you received social security benefit including disability in the year of 2020.
