Conversion from tradition IRA to Roth
Turbo tax keeps telling me I made to much money to contribute to Roth IRA but I ran my contribution through traditional first and then converted to Roth
You made a traditional IRA contribution, not a Roth IRA contribution. Do not enter the conversion as a Roth IRA contribution. Remove the Roth IRA contribution entry that you made.
