Question

Covid-19 distribution, after entering 1099-R info, says "area wasn't ready in time to include...revisit later." When will this be ready? Already April 22.

Form explains that I have option to spread out tax over 3 years. Only offers box to check if I want to declare all this year (which I do not). I click continue, it loops back to beginning, rework steps, and message appears "Unfortunately the disaster distributions area wasn't ready in time for us to include in this release. Please revisit this area later". Running out of time to file, please help.

It has been there for weeks.

If you are using the CD/download version you need to update or manual update.

Thanks for the reply. When it asks if I want to pay the tax for the entire distribution this year, it then explains that I can pay 1/3 for 2020, and spread out over the next two years. Then it asks if I want to pay the tax for the total distribution with a check box. I do not want to check the box. I want to spread out the liability. But it offers no option to do so. When I click continue, it loops back over the previous questions, then arrives to a screen that states "Unfortunately the disaster distributions area wasn't ready ready in time for us to include it in this release. Please revisit this area later.

I am using the Premier edition on the internet, which I have used successfully for the past 6 years. I do not have a CD or downloaded software.

It was working.    They must have broken it with the recent update.
