Hi, I am a Canadian citizen here in the US working as a resident physician on a J1. Can Turbotax offer cross border services as I have rental income from Canada but my main income is from my job in the US?

@arezai76 , if your questions is about the capability of the software ( at the appropriate  functioning level/version to adequately help you in preparing and filing a US return -- the answer is yes.  If the question is are there services  ( live help or prepare your return for you ) to have the return prepared for you or significantly guide you with live help etc. -- yes , there are  but I have no idea how effective.  I know lots of  users  opt for  this kind of service.

You can also probably find  help at the institution where you are training/ resident (ing), -- they have other foreign  docs. in the same  situation.

I don't know if I have answered your query ---  will be glad to  be more specific  if you provide more details.  On the surface, just because you have foreign income ( rental )  in addition to your  resident wages, does not  complicate the  return.  My favorite in such cases is always use  Windows   download  Home & Business.  This covers most  complex cases -- just a bit more expensive.

Is there more I can do for you ?
