Didn't file for social security until 1/25. Received retroactive pay back until 8/24. When do i file this with IRS

Next year you will receive a SSA1099 from Social Security and you will enter it on your 2025 tax return.

You will file in the tax year you received the social security. If you didn't receive a SSA-1099 for 2024, you will wait until 2025 to include it with your tax return. If I understand your question, you did not receive it until after your filed in January, 2025.
