Do I answer in TurboTax "were you required to pay unemployment" for 2020 taxes? He was told in 2021 he has to pay back benefits received in 2020
Husband received unemployment benefits in 2020. Employment security is now saying (in 2021) that he was ineligible and has to pay back over $9K. He is currently appealing this decision. Do I put on our 2020 tax return that he is required to pay it back? Or do I do that next year?
