Question

Do I claim a Roth contribution for a 403B to Roth conversion? I am under 65. My taxable amount was 6,000 and 4,800 was transferred within the same brokerage to the Roth.

I only received a 1099-R.

No, you do not enter a Roth IRA contribution for a Roth conversion. All you need to do is enter the Form 1099-R and indicate in the follow-up question that it was a Roth conversion.

Please see Where do I enter my 1099-R?
