Question

Do I have to file a non-resident state tax form for Oregon pension income (I currently live in Nevada), and pay taxes on this income? I thought pensions were exempt?

Turbo Tax is recommending I file a non-resident Oregon return, and I end up owing tax to Oregon. Only source of Oregon income is my monthly pension.

You do not pay taxes to the state based on where the retirement or pension developed from.  You do pay the tax to the state that you received it in.  There is no tax obligation (for this retirement income) in Oregon.  The tax obligation is to Nevada, which doesn't tax retirement income.
