Do I include the amount at bottom of box 3 on my SSA-1099 form that says *includes $452 paid in 2021 for 2020?

Is this considered a lump-sum payment?

You could treat the payment as a lump-sum payment, but since the amount is minimal it may be better to just leave it as it is and pay tax on it based on your current year income.

If you opt for the lump-sum treatment, you will have to refigure your prior year tax  to determine the amount of income to include on this year's tax return.
