Do I need to complete the section on individual contributions to each charity, if the total for multiple organizations was declared on the RMD section?

A portion of the RMD was donated to multiple charities

If you are taking the 1099-R QCD deduction from the taxable IRA distribution in the 1099-R interview, then you cannot also deduct it as a itemized deduction.

The distribution amount should be on the 1040 line 4a and the taxable amount on 4b with QCD next to is if you entered it correctly.

Were the donations direct IRA trustee to the charity trustee transfers and you never saw the money?

Only trustee-to-trustee transfers meed the RMD QCD requirements.   It would need to be separate transfers to each charity by the IRA trustee.

Yes, it was IRA trustee-to-charity trustee.  I'm asking because in the past I have listed each charity separately and entered the donation amount. Do I skip this step? Thanks.
