I tried to file my income taxes online myself but I had gone through taxact and I thought it was turbotax so it says it has to be mailed in but I forgot to include my social security I get each month so what do I need to do, file them again and disregard the previous one filed?

If you have already filed your return then yes you will need to file an amended return.

Use Form 1040X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.

Be advised – you can’t e-file an amended return. A paper form must be mailed in.

TurboTax can guide you through this

Well, if you used TurboTax you could not have e-filed the 2023 tax return if your Social Security number was not entered on the tax return.

How did you file the return?
