Question

Do I need to fill out Form8283? I am deducting a large QTY of the same item that equates to $4090 in value [It'sDeductible]. Turbotax isn't telling me to fill it out.

Some places says if donation value is over $500, I need to fill out a Form8283, but others say it must be over $5000. So lost~

You must include form 8283 if your non-cash donations are more than $500.  Turbotax will include this form automatically.

For non-cash donations over $5000, you may be required to obtain the signature of a financially responsible official from the charity, and the signature of a licensed appraiser, on a paper copy of form 8283, that you mail to the IRS after e-filing the rest of your return.  Because your donations are less than $5000, turbotax will not tell you to print the form and collect signatures, but the required form will be created electronically automatically.

Thank you! This is very helpful. So if they include it for me already, then I have no concerns about missing paperwork.

Correct.  If you print your return before filing or check the PDF, you should find that Turbotax has automatically included it.
