Do I need to include my 401 K gross distribution amount on my return if it was rolled over into an existing IRA?

I retired last June and received a distribution from my 401K which was rolled over into my existing IRA.  I received  a 1099-R which shows the distribution and $0 taxable amount.  Does this need to be included on my tax return?

Yes. Report the form on your return.

This rollover transaction isn't taxable, but it is reportable on your federal tax return. IRS.GOV
