Does a military pension require an RMD?
Is my monthly military pension considered part of a RMD?
When TurboTax asks if a distribution is an RMD, it's really asking how much of the distribution is ineligible for rollover. No part of a periodic pension paid for life is eligible for rollover, so the pension payments are effectively all RMD.
