Question

Does a Roth IRA count as being open if there is no money left in it (but it still shows up on my account)?

There is a question from TurboTax about if I had any Roth IRAs open on 12/31/24, after taking all the money out of it in 2024. It still shows up in my Vanguard account but there is no money left in it.

    No, you wouldn't say you had an open Roth IRA if there were no funds in it.
