Question

Does anyone know when the update for a 401K withdrawal due to COVID will be available in the tool?

I know there is no penalty if you meet certain criteria, but the lack of the approved form in the tool is causing me to be unable to finalize my taxes and submit.  Also, I am unable to determine if I want to pay all taxes or pay them over 3 years.   I am waiting for the Software update.

The Form 8915-E (Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments (Use for Coronavirus-Related Distributions)) has just been finalized by the IRS on February 12, 2021.

 

TurboTax will now update the program and the form will be e-fileable starting February 24.
