Does Massachusetts tax the IRA withdrawals of a retired 64yr old teacher

Yes, Massachusetts does tax a teacher's withdrawals from a traditional IRA, even if you're over 64.   However, your contributions to the traditional IRA did not get a tax deferral when you contributed to it.  Therefore,  that portion can be deducted from the withdrawal amount. 

 

Massachusetts state employee pensions are not taxed in Massachusetts.
